Data Sources
PrayerTimesUSA.org is a programmatic platform that synthesizes data from multiple highly-trusted astronomical APIs and geographical datasets.
Astronomical Data
All daily and monthly prayer time arrays are fetched via the Aladhan API (aladhan.com), which provides accurate calculations based on universally recognized Islamic astronomical standards.
Geographical & Geolocation Data
- City coordinates (Latitude/Longitude) are sourced from the open-source US Census Bureau gazetteer files.
- Live IP-based user geolocation (used for the "Smart Banner") is powered by GeoJS (geojs.io).
